Benedict XVI: Faithful to Christ and to the Church

Gospel radicalism proper to the consecrated life finds expression in filial communion with the Church, the home of the children of God, built by Christ. The Pope stated this Friday morning, meeting with  young religious sisters at the monument of El Escorial, 50 km from Madrid. Benedict XVI first met the King and Queen of Spain at the Zarzuela Palace. To the about 1600 young religious, Benedict XVI explained the importance of communion with the Pastors, who in the name of the Lord announce the deposit of faith received through the Apostles, the Magisterium of the Church and the Christian tradition. Moreover, the religious have been invited to be in communion with their particular Orders and with other dimension of the Church, the laity, who are called to testify, through their own specific vocation, the same Gospel of the Lord.
